Recipe Yield: 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

2 ½ cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp honey
½ cup celery, finely diced
¼ cup red onion, finely diced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp celery salt (or regular salt, to taste)
¼ tsp smoked paprika (optional, for depth of flavor)
2 tbsp fresh green onion, chopped (for garnish, optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Make the dressing: In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt, black pepper, and paprika until smooth and creamy.

2. Add the crunch: Stir in diced celery, red onion, and parsley for fresh texture and flavor.

3. Mix in the chicken: Add the shredded or diced chicken and gently fold it into the dressing, making sure everything is evenly coated.

4. Chill and serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors blend. Serve on buttery croissants, toasted bread, crisp lettuce cups, or with crackers!

Helpful Tips to Perfect This Recipe

  • Use Juicy Chicken – Poach or roast chicken for the best flavor and texture. Rotisserie chicken is a great shortcut, too!
  • Enhance the Texture – For extra crunch, add chopped toasted pecans, slivered almonds, or halved red grapes.
  • Make it Lighter – Swap half the mayo for Greek yogurt for a tangy, high-protein twist!
