3-Ingredient Banana Popsicles

3-Ingredient Banana Popsicles are a creamy frozen treat made with ripe bananas, Greek yogurt, and a little honey.

3-Ingredient Banana Popsicles turn a few everyday ingredients into a cool, creamy treat with plenty of real banana flavor. Very ripe bananas provide natural sweetness and body, while full-fat Greek yogurt gives the pops a smooth, pleasantly rich bite. A little honey softens the yogurt’s tang and rounds out the fruit without overpowering it.

Everything blends together in minutes, so the hardest part is waiting for the freezer. Once frozen, the pops are firm enough to hold their shape but soften beautifully after a brief rest at room temperature. They are simple enough for an afternoon snack and polished enough for an easy warm-weather dessert. For the best flavor, choose bananas covered with brown speckles rather than just-yellow fruit. That extra ripeness makes a noticeable difference once the mixture is frozen.

Recipe Yield: 8 popsicles

INGREDIENTS

4 medium very ripe bananas (about 2 cups sliced)
1 cup full-fat plain Greek yogurt
2 tbsp mild honey

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Blend the mixture:
Add the bananas, Greek yogurt, and honey to a blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed.

2. Fill the molds:
Divide the mixture evenly among 8 popsicle molds, leaving about 1/4 inch of space at the top. Gently tap the molds on the counter a few times to release trapped air, then insert the sticks.

3. Freeze until firm:
Freeze upright for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, until completely solid.

4. Unmold and serve:
Run the outside of the molds briefly under lukewarm water, then gently remove the popsicles. Let them stand for 2–3 minutes before serving for the best creamy bite.

HELPFUL TIPS TO PERFECT THIS RECIPE

  • Use truly ripe bananas: Choose bananas with plenty of brown speckles. Their deeper sweetness and stronger banana flavor come through much better after freezing.
  • Stick with full-fat Greek yogurt: The richer yogurt gives these banana popsicles a smoother frozen consistency and balances the natural fruit sweetness.
  • Blend until completely smooth: A thorough blend distributes the banana, yogurt, and honey evenly, so every pop freezes with the same flavor and consistency.
  • Give frozen pops a short rest: Letting them sit for 2–3 minutes after unmolding takes away the very hard freezer-cold edge and gives them a creamier bite.
