Recipe Yield: 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

4 large flour tortillas
2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 Tbsp cream cheese, softened
½ cup heavy cream
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp Italian seasoning
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1–2 Tbsp finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Season the chicken:
First, place the shredded chicken in a bowl. Season evenly with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Toss gently until well coated.

2. Build the garlic cream sauce:
Next, heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 30–45 seconds until fragrant. Then stir in heavy cream and cream cheese, whisking until smooth.

3. Melt the cheese:
After that, reduce heat slightly and add mozzarella and Monterey Jack. Stir continuously until melted, silky, and thickened.

4. Combine chicken and sauce:
Now, fold the seasoned chicken into the sauce. If using, stir in the finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Cook for 2–3 minutes until warmed through and fully coated. Stir in parsley and remove from heat.

5. Assemble the wraps:
Lay tortillas flat. Spoon the cheesy garlic chicken mixture down the center of each tortilla.

6. Toast and serve:
Finally, roll tightly and toast wraps seam-side down in a clean skillet over medium heat until golden and crisp on all sides. Slice and serve warm.

Helpful Tips to Perfect This Recipe

  • Control the creaminess: Because cheese thickens as it cools, keep the sauce slightly looser in the pan so wraps stay creamy after toasting.
  • Toast for texture: While optional, pan-toasting adds contrast, sealing in the filling while creating a restaurant-style exterior.
  • Balance the garlic: For best flavor, cook garlic just until fragrant, not browned, since overcooked garlic can overpower the sauce.
