If you love juicy pork chops with bold flavor, these Maple Chipotle Air Fryer Pork Chops deserve a spot in your dinner rotation. Better yet, the air fryer creates beautifully caramelized edges while keeping the inside tender and juicy. As a result, you get restaurant-style flavor without extra fuss.

Interestingly, pairing sweet and smoky flavors with pork has been popular for generations. Maple syrup naturally complements pork’s rich flavor, while chipotle peppers add warmth and smoky depth. Together, they create an irresistible balance that tastes comforting yet modern. Plus, because this recipe uses pantry-friendly ingredients, it feels approachable for busy weeknights while still special enough for guests.

Even better, these pork chops come together quickly and pair beautifully with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, rice, or a crisp salad. Once you try them, they may become your favorite way to cook pork chops at home.

Recipe Yield: 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

4 boneless center-cut pork chops (about 1 to 1¼-in. thick)
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
1 tbsp adobo sauce (from canned chipotle peppers)
½ tsp finely minced chipotle pepper
1 tsp Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp kosher salt
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat and prepare:
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes. Meanwhile, pat the pork chops completely dry with paper towels. This helps the glaze cling better and creates beautiful caramelization.

2. Make the maple-chipotle glaze:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, adobo sauce, minced chipotle pepper, Dijon mustard, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, onion powder, black pepper, melted butter, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil until smooth and glossy.

3. Coat the pork chops:
Reserve about 2 tbsp of the glaze for later. Then brush the remaining glaze generously over both sides of the pork chops. Let the pork chops rest for 10–15 minutes at room temperature for deeper flavor and more even cooking.

4. Air fry the pork chops:
Arrange the pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Air fry at 380°F for 10–12 minutes for thinner chops or 12–14 minutes for thicker chops, flipping halfway through. After flipping, brush lightly with some of the reserved glaze. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 145°F in the thickest part.

5. Rest and serve:
Transfer the pork chops to a plate and loosely tent with foil for 5 minutes. Then lightly brush with the remaining reserved glaze for a glossy finish, if desired. Garnish with parsley and serve warm with mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, green beans, or rice.

Helpful Tips to Perfect This Recipe

  • Choose evenly sized pork chops: Pork chops that are similar in thickness cook more evenly in the air fryer. As a result, you avoid dry edges or undercooked centers.
  • Avoid overcooking: Pork chops continue cooking slightly while resting. Therefore, remove them from the air fryer right at 145°F for juicy, tender results.
  • Layer the glaze for better flavor: Brushing the glaze in stages helps create a caramelized finish without burning the maple syrup. Additionally, the reserved finishing glaze adds extra smoky-sweet flavor and shine.
