Easy 3-Ingredient Chicken Stir-Fry combines savory teriyaki chicken, crisp-tender vegetables, and brown rice for a fast, satisfying meal.

Easy 3-Ingredient Chicken Stir-Fry turns three convenient staples into a fast, satisfying dinner with almost no prep. Pre-cooked BBQ teriyaki chicken brings savory-sweet flavor, frozen stir-fry vegetables add plenty of color and crunch, and warm brown rice makes every serving feel complete.

Because everything is already prepped, there’s no chopping, marinating, or complicated sauce to make. The vegetables cook straight from frozen, while the chicken only needs a few minutes to heat through so it stays juicy. Then everything is spooned over nutty brown rice for an easy weeknight meal that comes together in about 15 minutes. It’s simple enough for the busiest nights, yet still feels fresh, colorful, and satisfying. Keep this one close for meal prep, last-minute dinners, or whenever a quick chicken stir-fry sounds just right.

Recipe Yield: 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

12 oz pre-cooked BBQ teriyaki chicken, chopped
16 oz frozen vegetable stir-fry mix
3 cups cooked brown rice

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cook the vegetables:
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the frozen stir-fry vegetables directly from the freezer and cook for 4–6 minutes, stirring often, until hot and crisp-tender and most excess moisture has evaporated.

2. Add the chicken:
Add the pre-cooked BBQ teriyaki chicken and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring gently, just until heated through. If the chicken comes with extra teriyaki sauce, stir it in during the final minute.

3. Serve over rice:
Warm the brown rice and divide it among four bowls or plates. Spoon the chicken and vegetables over the rice and serve immediately.

HELPFUL TIPS TO PERFECT THIS RECIPE

  • Keep the vegetables crisp-tender: Cook them straight from frozen rather than thawing first. If the skillet looks watery, cook for another minute before adding the chicken so excess moisture can evaporate.
  • Want a little more sauce: If your chicken is lightly sauced, add 1–2 tbsp teriyaki sauce during the final minute of cooking. Taste first before adding soy sauce because pre-cooked teriyaki chicken can already be well seasoned.
  • Make it meal-prep friendly: For the best food safety and quality, use freshly cooked or recently purchased pre-cooked chicken when meal prepping. Refrigerate portions promptly in airtight containers and use the finished stir-fry within the chicken’s original 3–4 day refrigerated storage window.
